USS Arikara ATF 98
The USS Arikara will be having a Reunion with the Arikara People July 8-15, 2013 at New Town, ND.
If you are interested contact sussery001@ec.rr.com. Please hurry since rooms are few here. This is also the home of the Hidatsa People and we invite those Sailors as well. We were there in June 2012 and these People are awesome. I would encourage all Tug Sailors to find and meet their Tribes. You’ll be glad you did.
I served aboard the ARIKARA from Jul 1961 to Feb 1963. The old saying “the best duty assignments were the last and the next one”. In this case I was an SK2 and enjoyed my time aboard th ARIKARA. My buddy during that time was PN2 John Klein and would like to lccate him if possible.
We are having a 2014 Reunion again with the Arikara People at their home in White Shield, ND. This is for anyone wishing to attend. We are small so it is a “do it yourself” type of thing. The Arikara people are wonderful people and you will enjoy. If you are interested contact Steve Ussery at sussery001@ec.rr.com. This will be our 3rd year with the Arikara’s and we are doing this during their own Home Coming Pow Wow. We are always the HONORED GUEST. Always the 2nd weekend in July. We stay at the 4 Bears Casion in New Town, ND. 2 years ago, thus of us that were there, were adopted into the Tribe. Most of us will be there July 7-14. Again, all are welcome.
I am still having trouble logging on to site….I’m doing the same thing u told me to do. Same username & password. Then they tell me to log on (which I did but to no avail. I’m getting pretty annoyed with this system….
