One of the saddest days I can remember was as a member of the decommissioning crew of the USS Molala ATF106. When watching the colors being struck and the commissioning pennant being take down. Then the transfer of the ship to the Mexican government. At that point the Mexican flag was raised and the ship brought back to life as a member of the Mexican Navy. Very sad day.
